About Me: My Disney Journey began when I was 11 visiting my grandparents in Florida for my first walk down Main Street, U.S.A. Since then, I've traveled to the Mouse's House during all different stages of my life. I've visited as a teen, college student, honeymooner, mom of a toddler, and at least once a year since my son was 2, staying at nearly all of the WDW resorts. I've visited Disneyland, sailed aboard the Disney ships and stayed at Disney's Hilton Head Island resort. For years, I have been helping friends, neighbors, teachers, and other acquaintances plan their Disney journeys. To share my experiences, I wrote articles for PassPorter.com. In 2008 and 2009, I was honored to be selected for the Walt Disney World Moms Panel where I helped countless families create dream vacations at Walt Disney World and aboard the Disney ships. Last year, I was a guest speaker at the MagicMeets Fan Gathering. Currently, I am developing websites in an effort to share my magical moments as well as provide itinerary planning assistance. One of my greatest dreams is to publish a book that I have written or co-written. As a Magic Maker, I look forward to helping families plan their vacations in a way that matches their budget with their dreams.
My Family: After sharing a trip to Disneyland while in college, I knew that I had found my Prince Charming. Michael and I honeymooned at the Grand Floridian and have been married for 18 years. Our son, Nicolas, was born three months premature and is now a fabulous fourth grader. I'm told that shortly after his birth that I cried "but I just want to take him to Disney World". Thankfully, two years later, we made that magical trip. That same year, we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary with a Vow Renewal at Disney's Wedding Pavilion followed by a reception at the Whitehall Room and Terrace at the Grand Floridian's Convention Center. Highlights were riding in Cinderella's Coach and dancing with Mickey Mouse. Even my dog is named Disney! My husband is always reading a book about Walt Disney. It's been a whirlwind watching my son grow from a toddler in love with riding Dumbo and infatuated with the Disney "choo choo" aka monorail to a tween who not only enjoys Space Mountain but also the nostalgia of the Carousel of Progress. This May, we embark on a Mediterranean cruise with Mickey!
My Favorite Walt Disney Resort: Grand Floridian
My Favorite Disney Restaurant: Boma for breakfast
My Best Walt Disney Tip: Soak up the Magic! If you only have four nights, then pick 2 parks to visit allowing time to explore the wonders of WDW such as riding Dumbo during the Wishes fireworks. Often, the resort pool is a child's favorite memory of WDW so plan for mid-day breaks or late night relaxing swims. Don't miss the special moments that can be found outside of the attractions such as sharing a root beer float in front of Cinderella's Castle, taking a boat ride down the Sassagoula River, walking at night time between the Grand Floridian and Polynesian resorts and/or taking a fireworks cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Slowing down allows your family to truly vacation at WDW while making lasting memories to take home with you.
