Top 10 Reasons to Celebrate the Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort
The holidays often involve traditions, gifts, large meals and family gatherings. Maybe this year, you could try something a little different. When you spend your holidays at Universal Orlando Resort, you are certain to make memories that will last a lifetime!
10 – Celebrate Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
When Christmas time comes to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the land embraces the holiday season with spellbinding decorations, holiday entertainment, and the can’t-miss hot Butterbeer.
The twinkling lights and enchanting strands of garland and wreaths paired with the holiday hits like “My Baby Gave Me a Hippogriff for Christmas” will create a festive wizarding experience for all! And take home a Hogwarts house ornament, stocking or sweater as a fun souvenier.
9 – See the New Universal’s Holiday Experience Featuring Macy’s Balloons
Always wished you could see the Macy’s balloons? Now you can see the balloons and floats up close like never before in this new walkthrough experience. See the larger-than-life Macy’s balloons and floats depicting holiday moments inspired by favorite films like Illumination’s Despicable Me, and DreamWorks’ Shrek and Madagascar. And say goodbye to waiting in long lines at the mall — Santa Claus is coming to Universal Studios. Dress in your holiday best and come get a photo with Santa during this holiday experience.
Bonus option – Universal’s Holiday Tour: Get front of the line access and walking tour to the balloon experience with this add-on experience. You also get a private meet and greet with the Grinch while enjoying a hot cocoa bar, an exclusive viewing of The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, and a tour of the Tribute Store. Ask your Enchanted Destinations Travel Advisor for more details.
8 – Meet Your Favorite Characters
After meeting the holly, jolly man in the red suit, head over to Universal’s Islands of Adventure to meet the mean, green one himself, the Grinch. You can find him and the Whos spreading holiday cheer — or grumpiness in the Grinch’s case — throughout Seuss Landing.
You can also join other holiday characters for some dancing, singing, and photos in the streets of Universal Studios. Join in on the merry and mayhem with characters like the Minions and other beloved characters from Illumination’s Despicable Me, and DreamWorks favorites like the family of Shrek and King Julien and crew from Madagascar.
Don’t worry, Universal’s other famous characters aren’t taking off for the holidays. You can still meet the towering Transformers robots in Universal Studios and encounter Jurassic World’s Blue at Raptor Encounter in Islands of Adventure.
7 – Enjoy Holiday Decor and Festivities at Universal’s Hotels
Make your holiday vacation at Universal Orlando complete with a stay at one of the resort hotels Along with being a short walk, Water Taxi, or shuttle ride to the theme parks, the hotels go all out with holiday festivities too. The decorations are simply amazing, with uniquely themed trees, lights, garland, etc.
And holiday festivities continue with special holiday meals, outdoor fire pits and a “Florida holiday tradition” of lounging by the hotel pool!
6 – Come Do Your Holiday Shopping With Us
No last minute runs to the mall for that final gift this year. At Universal, there are so many unique themed gift shops throughout our entire resort destination. You can find popular finds, including fan favorites like a classic Jurassic Park T-shirt, an interactive wand to cast spells in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and basically any piece of merch with the Grinch’s face on it.
And if you really want to amp the shopping up 10 levels on the festive scale, then you have to check out the Holiday Tribute Store. It’s four rooms decked from wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, and shelf-to-shelf with holiday goodness. Enjoy traditional goodies in the Bavarian Holiday Festival room; whimsical finds you can only find in the Grinch-inspired room; magical gifts and decor in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter inspired room; and holiday snacks and treats from Earl the Squirrel’s Tree Farm.
Bonus Activity – Scavenger Hunt. As you’re on the hunt for the perfect gift in the parks, why not make it a scavenger hunt as well? Purchase a brochure for the Holiday Tree Hunt and discover 16 themed trees throughout Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Universal CityWalk. Collect all 16 stamps and you’ll get an exclusive holiday ornament prize. Ask your Enchanted Destinations Travel Advisor for more details.
5 – Indulge in Holiday Feasts and Treats
If your favorite part of the holidays is the food – you are in luck at Universal Orlando!
New this year is the Holiday Treat Trail. Grab a trail brochure, gather your treat stamps, and enjoy favorites like the holiday ornament doughnuts at Voodoo Doughnut. Once you finish, you get a special completion treat on us!
Universal CityWalk is the place to get whimsical holiday goodies like eggnog cocktails, Peppermint Beignet Sundae from Pat O’ Brien’s, the savory Caribbean dish of Brown Stew Chicken from Bob Marley – A Tribute to Freedom, and more.
Special Agent Recommendation – Gingerbread Milkshake: It’s the very definition of Christmas in a cup. This milkshake from The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen has gingerbread, vanilla soft serve, caramel, cinnamon, chocolate ganache, and topped with a gingerbread-man cookie.
4 – Take Advantage of Florida “Winter” Weather
Instead of having to worry about wearing extra layers of clothing, all you have to worry about is an extra layer of sunscreen. Florida “winter” is the perfect time of the year to get outside and enjoy cooler temperatures while soaking in that gorgeous sunshine. Nothing beats being able to lay out by the hotel pool in the dead of winter. Plus, less clothes packed also means more room for shopping goodies!
3 – Instead of Sleigh Rides, Do Thrill Rides
There’s one thing I can guarantee your holiday vacation will have that others won’t: roller coasters! Don your Hogwarts house scarf and fly through the Forbidden Forest on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Put Santa’s sleigh to shame by racing through the air at 67 miles per hour on The Incredible Hulk Coaster in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. And you have to try singing Jingle Bells on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit in Universal Studios — it takes Christmas caroling to the next level!
2 – Capture the Best Photo for Your Holiday Card
The holiday season is all about creating lasting memories with your family and friends. It’s the one time of the year where families still send an actual card with photos. Universal has the perfect backdrops for all your holiday photo needs. Ditch the traditional fireplace and snap a pic in front of a fire breathing dragon instead. Make it whimsical with the colorful twists and turns of Seuss Landing, complete with festive decorations. And you can’t beat a matching family PJs pic in front of the Universal Globe.
Agent Recommendation: Oh, Christmas Tree! Holiday card photos are typically in front of the tree, but how often do you see a photo with an 80 ft. tree? The tree in Universal Studios is the perfect spot for a family pic. Add a fun twist by getting a photo of your reflection in one of the giant ornaments.
1 – Ditch the Stress, Make the Memory
Escape the reality of the day to day and find extra joy this holiday season. Ditch the stress typically felt around this time with the shopping, the decorating, the cleaning up for visitors, the cooking, the calories, school winter break, working, and all 50 of the different family activities. Let Universal Orlando take that stress off your shoulders and be your home away from home for the holidays.
You’ll be pampered at our hotels with comfy beds you don’t have to make every day. No need to drive when you’re here with Water Taxis and shuttles that get your around. There is an endless number of fun toys, trinkets, and apparel you could ever want for your Christmas list all in one place. There are dozens of restaurants with all varieties of cuisine for you to enjoy a meal at and not have to wash dishes after. Also, calories don’t count on vacation so… Universal has the decorations, the tree, the eggnog, and the songs. All you have to do is let loose and have fun, safely.
Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort start Nov. 14 – Jan. 3, with hot Butterbeer and beautiful weather staying even longer! Contact your Enchanted Destinations Travel Advisor and let us help you plan the perfect holiday getaway!

A Traveler’s Checklist to Ease Your Mind
If you love traveling but the thought of planning a trip or remembering the small “adulting” details feels overwhelming to you, we can help! First, contact our travel advisors – who can offer expert travel planning services – at no cost to you. They will take the stress out of planning and help you to get the most out of your vacation.
And here is a short checklist of details that can ease the most anxious of minds and allow for a peaceful travel experience.
Gather Required Travel Documents Prior to Your Trip
Safeguard Your Documents! Make copies of all your travel documents. Put all travel documents in a large folder and leave a copy with a trusted friend or relative and carry the other separately from your original documents. Also take a photograph of your travel documents with your phone to have an electronic copy.
Renew Your Passport Early
Check your passport expiration dates as soon as you start planning a trip, and remember passports issued to children under 16 are only valid for only five years. Some countries will require that your passport expiration date is at least six months away. Passport books also need at least two blank pages when traveling. If you need a new passport, apply early to allow for delays.
Ensure Your Medications Are Documented
Some prescription drugs (including narcotics) and even some U.S. over-the-counter medications are illegal in other countries. Ensure that your medication is clearly marked and that you have enough with you for the duration of your trip (with a few extra days worth). Check with the embassy of your destination(s) about regulations and documentation before you travel.
Consent for Travel with Minors
If you are traveling alone with children, foreign border officials may require custody documents or notarized written consent from the other parent. Check with the embassy of your foreign destination before traveling to see what you may need.
These tips will help even the most nervous of travelers to feel more confident about their upcoming travel experience. Not sure if you need to document medications or if you need consent to travel with minors? Our agents have helped plan thousands of vacations and can offer you guidance and advice. Let us take on the planning and focus on having fun and making memories!

Do I Really Need Traveler’s Insurance?
Whether you need traveler’s insurance depends on various factors such as your destination, the duration of your trip, your health condition, and the level of risk you’re willing to tolerate. Here are some points to consider, but if you have additional questions you can reach out to one of our Enchanted Destinations travel experts.
Healthcare Coverage
If you’re traveling domestically within the United States and you already have comprehensive health insurance that covers you adequately in other regions of the country, you might not need traveler’s insurance specifically for medical purposes. However, if you’re traveling abroad, it’s highly advisable to have traveler’s insurance as your regular health insurance might not cover medical expenses incurred overseas. Keep in mind, the U.S. government does not provide insurance for U.S. citizens overseas. Medicare/Medicaid does not provide coverage outside of the United States.
Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance
Traveler’s insurance often covers trip cancellation or interruption due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, natural disasters, or other emergencies. If you’ve invested a significant amount in your trip and want financial protection against unexpected cancellations, traveler’s insurance may be beneficial.
Lost or Delayed Baggage
If you’ve ever had your baggage lost on a trip – you will know the importance of this coverage! Some traveler’s insurance policies may include coverage for lost, stolen, or delayed baggage. If you’re carrying valuable items or if your trip involves multiple connections where the risk of baggage mishandling is higher, this coverage can be valuable.
Emergency Assistance
Many traveler’s insurance policies offer 24/7 emergency assistance services, which can be crucial if you encounter problems while traveling, especially in foreign countries where you might not be familiar with the local systems.
Adventure Activities
If your trip involves adventurous activities like skiing, scuba diving, or mountain climbing, you might need specialized coverage for such activities, which is often included in insurance policies.
The decision to purchase traveler’s insurance is always the traveler’s decision, and although certainly not mandatory, it can provide valuable peace of mind and financial protection in case of unexpected events during your travels. Our agents are intimately familiar with several travel insurance options and can offer you advice on the one that will suit your individual needs. Just another one of the benefits of using a travel advisor when booking your next vacation!

Tips for Toddling Through Disney
A Disney vacation with toddlers can be a magical experience, but it requires some careful planning to ensure everyone has a great time. Enchanted Destinations agents are well-versed in making your experience magical – even throughout the terrible twos and threenager years!
Get the Most Out of Your Disney Vacation Trip:
Choose the Right Disney Park:
Consider the age-appropriateness of each park. Magic Kingdom is often the most toddler-friendly, with many attractions suitable for young children.
Plan a Flexible Disney Schedule:
Toddlers have unpredictable needs and energy levels. Plan a loose itinerary, and be flexible with your schedule to accommodate naps, snacks, and breaks.
Disney Character Meet-and-Greets:
Toddlers often adore meeting their favorite characters. Check the schedule for character meet-and-greets and plan to attend during times when your toddler is typically more alert and cooperative.
Use Rider Switch:
If you have older children who want to go on rides that your toddler is too small for, take advantage of the Rider Switch option. One adult can wait with the toddler while the others ride, and then you can switch without waiting in line again.
Being Prepared for your Disney Trip:
Take Advantage of Baby Care Centers:
Each Disney park has a Baby Care Center equipped with changing tables, nursing rooms, and feeding areas. These centers are great for taking a break and attending to your toddler’s needs.
Bring Snacks and Drinks:
Toddlers can get hungry and thirsty quickly. Pack a bag with your toddler’s favorite snacks and a refillable water bottle to keep them satisfied between meals.
Rent Strollers:
Consider renting a stroller, even if your toddler is a good walker. Disney parks involve a lot of walking, and a stroller provides a comfortable place for your little one to rest.
Bring Comfort Items:
Pack comfort items such as a favorite blanket, stuffed animal, or pacifier to help your toddler feel at ease in unfamiliar surroundings.
Capture the Magic:
Document your trip with plenty of photos and maybe even consider a Disney-themed autograph book for your toddler to collect characters’ signatures.
Be Mindful of Parade and Show Times:
Check the schedule for parades and shows. Toddlers often enjoy these colorful and entertaining performances, and it can be a good way to take a break.
Know the Height Requirements:
Our agents can help you to familiarize yourself with height requirements for rides to avoid disappointment. Disney has a variety of attractions suitable for toddlers, but some have height restrictions.
By planning ahead and being flexible, we can help you to create a wonderful Disney experience for your family! We love helping families plan their dream vacations and create magical memories sure to be treasured for years to come.

Is Traveling Good For Your Health?
In a world that often seems to move at an unrelenting pace, the idea of slowing down and embarking on a journey holds a special allure. Beyond the thrill of discovering new places and experiencing diverse cultures, traveling can have a profound impact on your overall health and well-being!
Stress Reduction:
One of the immediate benefits of travel is the escape from the daily grind and routine. Stepping out of your comfort zone and immersing yourself in a new environment can significantly reduce stress levels. Whether it’s lounging on a tropical beach, hiking through lush mountains, or exploring vibrant city streets, travel provides a break from the stressors of everyday life, promoting relaxation and mental rejuvenation.
Physical Activity:
Travel often involves physical activities, whether it’s trekking through nature reserves, walking historical streets, or engaging in water sports. With so many people living a sedentary lifestyle, travel encourages movement, contributing to improved cardiovascular health, increased energy levels, and better overall fitness. Even leisurely strolls through new destinations can add up to a significant amount of daily exercise and increase that step count!
Cultural Engagement:
Experiencing different cultures can be a powerful stimulant for the mind and soul. Engaging with new people, traditions, and customs broadens your perspective and fosters a sense of connection with the world. The mental stimulation gained from learning about diverse cultures has been linked to improved cognitive function and a reduced risk of age-related cognitive decline.
Sunshine and Vitamin D:
Many travel destinations offer ample sunshine, which is essential for the body’s production of vitamin D. Exposure to sunlight has been associated with various health benefits, including strengthened bones, improved mood, and a bolstered immune system. Soaking up the sun responsibly during your travels can contribute to your overall well-being.
Quality Sleep:
Travel can disrupt routines, but it also provides an opportunity to reset your internal clock. Exposure to natural light, coupled with physical activity during the day, can help regulate sleep patterns. Whether you’re adjusting to a new time zone or simply unwinding in a serene environment, travel can promote better sleep quality, leaving you refreshed and revitalized!
Mindfulness and Relaxation:
Exploring new places encourages mindfulness as you immerse yourself in the present moment. Whether it’s savoring local cuisine, enjoying a scenic view, or practicing meditation in a tranquil setting, travel fosters relaxation and helps alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Along with creating memories and connecting with your loved ones – traveling can also help you to build a healthier, more balanced life. By embracing the power of travel, you can reduce stress, boost physical and mental well-being, and return home with a renewed sense of vitality. So, call your Enchanted Destinations travel agent, pack your bags and let the benefits of travel unfold for a healthier and happier you.

Navigating Luxury: Top Five Must-Have Items for Your Cruise
Are you ready to set sail on an unforgettable adventure? Cruises offer a perfect blend of relaxation, exploration, and luxury, taking you to exotic destinations while pampering you with top-notch amenities. As you pack your bags for this exciting journey, make sure you include these five essential items to ensure a smooth and enjoyable cruise experience.
Passport and Documentation
Before you even step foot on the ship, ensure you have all the necessary identification and travel documents. A valid passport, visas (if required), and any other pertinent identification should be at the top of your packing list. Snap a picture of all documentation you are bringing with you to ensure that you know what documents, credit cards and identification you have with you. Additionally, having a printed copy of your cruise itinerary, boarding passes, and any pre-booked shore excursions can help you stay organized and stress-free throughout your trip. Pro-tip: keep these documents in one place throughout your journey.
Comfortable Footwear
Cruises offer a variety of activities, both on board and at the destinations you’ll visit. From lounging by the pool to exploring cobblestone streets during shore excursions, comfortable footwear is a must. Pack a pair of well-worn walking shoes for excursions, flip-flops or sandals for poolside relaxation, and perhaps a pair of formal shoes for elegant evening events. Pro-tip: wear your formal shoes around the house for a week before the cruise. Ships are large and you may walk quite a bit in them.
Appropriate Clothing
Cruise ships often have different dress codes for various venues and events. Be sure to pack a mix of casual wear, resort wear, and formal attire. Depending on the cruise’s duration and destinations, you might need swimwear, sun hats, sunglasses, evening wear, and even themed costumes for special onboard parties. Check the cruise line’s guidelines to ensure you’re prepared for all occasions. Pro-tip: Consider packing items within a certain color palette to ensure that you have multiple options for mixing and matching (and layering for cool evenings). Bonus points if you can keep your family/travel partners in that color palette too – makes for great photos!
Medications and Essentials
While cruise ships have medical facilities, it’s wise to carry a small supply of your essential medications and basic first-aid items. Seasickness can affect even the most seasoned travelers, so pack motion sickness remedies if needed. Sunscreen, insect repellent, hand sanitizers, and a small travel kit of toiletries will also come in handy. Pro-tip: Always have a screenshot of your pill bottle/prescription in the event of an emergency.
Power Essentials
In the age of technology, staying connected is important for many travelers. Don’t forget to pack your phone, tablet, camera, or any other gadgets you plan to use – and their charging cords. Most cruise ships have both U.S. and European plug outlets, so consider bringing a universal adapter. Pro-tip: A power strip with multiple outlets can be incredibly useful, as cabins often have limited power outlets.
Bonus Tip: Research and Reservations
While not a physical item, thorough research and pre-planning are essential for a fantastic cruise experience. Research the cruise line’s amenities, dining options, entertainment offerings, and the destinations you’ll visit. Consider booking any specialty dining, spa treatments, or shore excursions in advance to secure your spots and potentially save money. Cruising can be a wonderful experience but can seem overwhelming to first-time cruisers. Pro-tip: Call an Enchanted Destinations travel agent to help you to take advantage of every moment of your cruise and to share their extensive insider knowledge with you.
Embarking on a cruise is like embarking on a journey of indulgence, relaxation, and exploration. By preparing ahead of time, you’re setting yourself up for an incredible adventure where you can focus on making memories, capturing breathtaking views, and enjoying every moment to the fullest. Bon voyage!

Go Big in Hawaii – the Big Island Bucket List
Going to Hawaii? You will not be bored! With six major islands, there are plenty of options for island hopping with a variety of activities, wildlife and natural beauty on each island.
If you can make time to spend on the Island of Hawaii, often known as the Big Island because it is nearly twice as large as all of the other Hawaiian islands combined, we have a bucket list of activities for you!
The Big Island Bucket List
- The “Must See” attraction on the Big Island is the Volcano National Park. This park has Kilauea, an active volcano. Some lucky visitors actually see flowing lava – quite a sight in the evening! You’ll spend the day hiking, touring the crater rim on Chain of Craters Road, taking once-in-a-lifetime photos on the volcanic overlooks and more. If you work up an appetite, check out the Volcano House restaurant or the Volcano Winery. These dining (and drinking) experiences will not disappoint!
- Akaka Falls State Park – This state park boasts a huge waterfall in the middle of a rainforest! The waterfall is 442 feet tall
and will be a gorgeous backdrop to photos! - Rainbow Falls – Another must-see waterfall! Easy to access as it’s near the town of Hilo. Explore the natural beauty, create memories and get great pictures!
- Hapuna Beach is the best white sandy beach on the island, and there are not too many on this island. Many of the beaches are lava rocks making Hapuna beach a favorite for visitors. Beautiful clear water, swimming is great, lots of space to spread out.
- The black sand beach, Punalu’u, is a sight that is truly unique. The black sand is made of black fragments of lava, and is a favorite hangout of sea turtles! The beach is lined with beautiful palm trees. Truly beautiful!
- Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park – This very old Hawaiian ceremonial structure offers an interactive, living history of the island. Extremely neat place that will please those with an interest in history as well as those tourists just interested in history for the day!
- The big island is home to many coffee farms, several that offer tours! Some of our favorites include Hula Daddy and Mountain Thunder.
- Need a day to just relax for the day? Shop your way through two great cities – Kona and Hilo!
- Coffee isn’t the only thing brewing in Hawaii – the Kona Brewing Company offers a different taste of the island with options that include Liquid Aloha, Big Wave Golden Ale, Lavaman Red Ale and a line of seltzers with an island vibe!
- And when in Rome, er…Hawaii – you can’t miss out on one of the BEST luaus in Hawaii – the Royal Kona Luau at Royal Kona Resort. Ocean front, delicious food, amazing show, dancing, activities and more!
If you need help planning an amazing Hawaiian adventure, we can ensure that you make the most out of your time, no matter what islands you choose to visit!

Traveling on a Budget: Tips and Tricks for Affordable Adventures
Who says you need a hefty bank account to satisfy your wanderlust? With careful planning and a few budget-friendly strategies, you can embark on incredible adventures without breaking the bank. As travel experts, we will share valuable tips and tricks to help you travel on a budget and make the most of your funds while still experiencing unforgettable adventures.
Plan and Research in Advance:
The key to successful budget travel lies in thorough planning and research. Start by setting a budget for your trip, including transportation, accommodation, meals, activities, and other expenses. Research destination options known for their affordability and explore the best times to visit to find deals and discounts. Working with a travel agent at Enchanted Destinations can help save you money and time with this step. We know the best deals, most affordable destinations and are happy to help our clients travel on a budget that they are comfortable with.
Be Flexible with Travel Dates and Destinations:
Being flexible with your travel dates can significantly impact your expenses. Traveling during off-peak seasons or shoulder seasons often results in lower airfare and accommodation costs. Additionally, consider exploring alternative destinations that offer similar experiences to popular tourist spots but with lower price tags.
Embrace Budget Accommodation Options:
Instead of fancy hotels, we can help clients to find more budget-friendly accommodation options. These alternatives not only save you money but also provide opportunities to spend more time outside of your room and immerse yourself in the local culture.
Travel Light and Avoid Extra Baggage Fees:
Packing light not only makes your journey more convenient but can also save you from expensive baggage fees. Check the baggage policies of airlines in advance and aim to travel with just a carry-on, if possible. Additionally, consider doing laundry during your trip to reduce the amount of clothing you need to pack.
Eat Like a Local:
Sampling local cuisine is an integral part of travel, and it doesn’t have to break the bank. Explore local markets, street food stalls, and affordable eateries where you can savor authentic dishes at a fraction of the cost of touristy restaurants. Embrace the opportunity to try new flavors and immerse yourself in the local culinary scene.
Prioritize Experiences over Material Things:
Remember that the most valuable souvenirs are the memories and experiences you gather during your travels. Prioritize allocating your budget towards immersive activities, cultural experiences, and adventures rather than material possessions. These memories will last a lifetime and provide more value in the long run. At Enchanted Destinations, we strive to offer experiences that are tried and true. With thousands of clients, we can share feedback on which activities/excursions are client-favorites and which ones you may be able to safely skip.
Traveling on a budget doesn’t mean sacrificing the joy of exploration. Regardless of budget constraints, you can embark on affordable adventures while still experiencing the beauty and excitement of new destinations. Remember to plan wisely, employ the help of an Enchanted Destination travel planner and be flexible, and embrace the opportunities to immerse yourself in the culture. With a bit of creativity and resourcefulness, you can create unforgettable memories without breaking the bank. Happy budget travels!

The Big Disney Dilemma: Is the Memory Maker Worth It

To ensure those precious moments are captured, Disney offers a service called Memory Maker. The question is… is it worth it?
What is Disney Memory Maker?
Disney Memory Maker is a photo and video service offered at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland Resort in California. It allows guests to have their magical moments professionally captured by Disney’s PhotoPass photographers and includes unlimited digital downloads of those photos and videos.
Benefits of Disney Memory Maker:
- Professional Photos: Disney’s PhotoPass photographers are trained to capture the perfect shot, ensuring high-quality images that truly reflect the magic of the moment. They know the best angles and spots throughout the parks, character meet-and-greets, and iconic attractions to create stunning memories.
- Convenience and Ease: With Disney Memory Maker, you don’t have to worry about taking pictures yourself or asking strangers to capture your family’s moments. Simply locate a Disney PhotoPass photographer, scan your MagicBand or park ticket, and let them handle the rest. All the photos are then linked to your Disney account, ready for easy access and download.
- Wide Range of Photo Opportunities: Memory Maker covers an extensive range of photo opportunities, including character meet-and-greets, iconic landmarks, thrilling attractions, and enchanting dining experiences. You can focus on enjoying the magic while the photographers capture those priceless smiles, hugs, and expressions.
- Magical Extras: Memory Maker provides added value by including select attraction photos and videos. For example, you can relive the excitement of a roller coaster ride or capture that magical moment on a character-driven attraction. Be sure to ask your photographer for any Magic Shots they can offer. You may end up taking a selfie with Minnie, holding Tinkerbell in your hand or being photo bombed by one of your favorite characters! These extras add another layer of fun and capture the overall experience.
Considerations:
- Cost: Disney Memory Maker is not included in the cost of your park ticket and can put stress on a budget already stretched with a Disney trip. However, if you plan to take advantage of numerous photo opportunities and want professional-quality images, it can be a worthwhile investment. At the time this article was written, the cost is $169, if added at least four days prior to your arrival date. After that, the price is $199. Keep in mind that prices may vary, so it’s essential to check the current pricing on Disney’s official website.
- Utilization: To make the most of Disney Memory Maker, it’s important to actively seek out PhotoPass photographers throughout the parks and take advantage of the included attractions. If you prefer to rely on personal photography or don’t plan to capture many photos, the value of Memory Maker may diminish.
How Do I Decide?
Deciding whether Disney Memory Maker is worth it ultimately depends on your preferences, budget, and the importance you place on capturing memories.
If you want professional-quality photos, convenience, and a wide range of opportunities to preserve your Disney experience, Memory Maker can be a fantastic addition to your vacation. It allows you to relive those cherished moments for years to come and share them with family and friends.
Consider your personal photography habits and the number of photos you anticipate taking throughout your trip. If you’re someone who prefers minimal photos or enjoys capturing moments independently, the value of Disney Memory Maker may not be the best use of your resources.
Whether you decide to utilize the Memory Maker or not – the Disney magic will shine through your photos and offer you some amazing memories. The team at Enchanted Destinations can help you to plan the perfect Disney getaway! Let us help you start planning your magical getaway today!

Beverage Packages on Cruise Lines: Everything You Need to Know
Cruising is an incredible way to see the world and experience different cultures, and one of the best parts of cruising is the wide variety of food and drink options available on board. While many cruise lines offer a variety of complimentary beverages, such as water, tea, and coffee, others offer beverage packages that allow you to enjoy unlimited drinks throughout your trip.
When booking your trip, take a close look at beverage packages on cruise lines, including what they typically include, how much they cost, and how to decide if a beverage package is right for you.
What is a Beverage Package?
A beverage package is a pre-paid plan that allows you to enjoy a variety of drinks throughout your cruise without worrying about the cost. Beverage packages typically include a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, such as beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks. Some packages also include specialty coffees and teas, bottled water, and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Most beverage packages are priced per person, per day, and the cost can vary depending on the cruise line and the package that you choose. Some cruise lines offer different levels of beverage packages, ranging from basic plans that include only soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages to premium plans that include top-shelf liquor and specialty cocktails.
Benefits of a Beverage Package
One of the biggest benefits of a beverage package is the convenience. With a beverage package, you don’t have to worry about keeping track of every drink you order or the cost of each drink. Instead, you can simply order the drinks you want without worrying about the price.
Another benefit of a beverage package is the potential cost savings. If you plan on enjoying a lot of drinks during your cruise, a beverage package can be a great way to save money. Depending on the cruise line and the package that you choose, a beverage package can offer significant savings compared to purchasing individual drinks throughout your trip.
Things to Consider
While a beverage package can be a great way to save money and enjoy unlimited drinks, it may not be the best option for everyone. Here are a few things to consider when deciding whether or not to purchase a beverage package:
How much do you plan on drinking? If you only plan on having a few drinks throughout your cruise, it may not be worth it to purchase a beverage package. On the other hand, if you plan on enjoying multiple drinks every day, a beverage package could be a great value.
What’s included in the package? Before purchasing a beverage package, make sure you understand what’s included. Some packages may only include soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages, while others may include a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
What’s the cost? Beverage packages can vary in price, so it’s important to consider the cost and whether or not it fits within your budget.
Are there any restrictions? Some beverage packages may have restrictions, such as a limit on the number of drinks you can order per day or a restriction on the type of drinks that are included.
Beverage packages can be a great way to save money and enjoy unlimited drinks on your cruise. However, it’s important to consider your drinking habits, the cost of the package, and any restrictions before making a purchase. Ultimately, the decision to purchase a beverage package is a personal one that depends on your preferences and budget. If you have questions about beverage packages, ask one of our Enchanted Destinations agents. They can steer you in the right direction, offer personal experience with the cruise line and help you to make the best decision for you and your family!

Traveling with Toddlers
Traveling can be a wonderful experience, but it can also be a challenging one when traveling with toddlers. Toddlers are full of energy, curiosity, and unpredictability, and these characteristics can make traveling with them a bit difficult. However, with proper planning and preparation, traveling with toddlers can be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.
Here are some helpful tips for traveling with toddlers:
Plan ahead: Before embarking on your trip, research your destination and plan your itinerary. Make a list of activities that your toddler might enjoy and places that are toddler-friendly. Make sure to include breaks and downtime in your schedule, as toddlers can easily become overstimulated and overwhelmed.
Pack wisely: When packing for your trip, make sure to bring all the necessary items for your toddler, such as diapers, wipes, bottles, sippy cups, snacks, and toys. Pack extra clothing and blankets in case of accidents or spills. Don’t forget to bring any necessary medications or first aid supplies.
Keep them entertained: Toddlers have a short attention span, so it’s important to keep them entertained during the trip. Bring toys, books, and games that your toddler enjoys. You can also download movies or TV shows onto a tablet or smartphone for entertainment on the go.
Be flexible: Toddlers can be unpredictable, so it’s important to be flexible during the trip. Be prepared to change your plans or schedule if your toddler needs a nap or a break. Remember to take breaks and let your toddler run around and play.
Keep them safe: When traveling with toddlers, safety should be a top priority. Make sure to keep an eye on your toddler at all times and keep them close to you in crowded places. Use a stroller or carrier to keep your toddler safe and secure.
Be patient: Traveling with toddlers can be stressful at times, but it’s important to stay patient and calm. Toddlers can sense when their parents are stressed, so try to maintain a positive attitude and enjoy the trip.
By keeping your toddler entertained, safe, and comfortable, and by being flexible and patient, you can make your trip a success! Remember to take lots of pictures and make lots of memories, as traveling can be a wonderful bonding experience for the whole family! Looking for destinations that are toddler-friendly? Top 6 Mistakes of First-Time Cruisers
Cruise vacations are a fantastic way to unwind, explore exotic destinations, and indulge in a variety of onboard activities. However, just like any other type of travel, there are certain things that you should avoid doing to ensure you have the best possible experience.
Overpacking:
One common mistake many travelers make is overpacking for their cruise. Remember that cruise cabins are typically compact, and excessive luggage can make your living space feel cramped. Stick to the essentials and pack versatile clothing items that can be mixed and matched. Check the cruise line’s website for any dress code requirements and plan accordingly.
Skipping Safety Drills:
Safety drills are a mandatory part of the cruise experience, and it’s essential to attend them. These drills provide crucial information about emergency procedures, including the use of life jackets and evacuation protocols. Even if you’ve been on multiple cruises, attending the safety drill is not only a legal requirement but also ensures that you’re prepared for any unforeseen circumstances.
Neglecting Sun Protection:
Whether you’re lounging on the deck or exploring tropical destinations, sun protection is vital. Don’t make the mistake of underestimating the sun’s strength, especially in the open waters. Pack and apply sunscreen with a high SPF, wear a hat and sunglasses, and seek shade during peak sun hours.
Not Budgeting for Onboard Expenses:
Cruise vacations offer an array of onboard activities, dining options, and additional services. However, it’s important to budget and be mindful of your spending. From specialty restaurants and spa treatments to shore excursions and gratuities, these extra expenses can quickly add up. Plan your budget in advance and keep track of your onboard spending to avoid any financial surprises.
Overindulging in Food and Drinks:
Cruise ships are known for their impressive dining options and tempting buffets. While it’s natural to want to sample everything, be mindful of your food and drink consumption. Enjoy the culinary offerings in moderation and remember to stay hydrated with water throughout the day.
Missing the Chance to Explore Ports of Call:
One of the highlights of a cruise vacation is the opportunity to visit different ports of call. Don’t miss out on exploring these exciting destinations. Plan your shore excursions in advance or embark on self-guided tours to make the most of your time ashore. Research the local culture, landmarks, and activities beforehand, allowing you to immerse yourself in unique experiences and create unforgettable memories. Remember to allow extra time when returning to the ship and most importantly do not be late!
With proper planning and a mindful approach, you’ll make the most of your cruise experience and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Bon voyage! Contact Enchanted Destinations to start planning your dream cruise.

Pack It In
Going on vacation can be one of the most exciting experiences of your life, but it can also be stressful if you don’t know how to pack efficiently. Whether you’re going on a short weekend trip or a month-long adventure, packing smart can help you save time, money, and space. In this blog post, I’ll share some of my top packing tips and secrets to help you make the most of your next vacation.
Make a Packing List
Before you start packing, make a list of all the items you need to bring. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don’t forget anything important. Divide your list into categories such as clothing, toiletries, electronics, and so on. When you are finished packing, put your list in one of the pockets in your suitcase and it will help you to remember to bring it all home!
Roll Your Clothes
One of the best ways to save space in your suitcase is to roll your clothes instead of folding them. This technique not only helps you fit more items into your luggage, but it also helps prevent wrinkles. Start with heavier items like jeans and then roll lighter items like t-shirts and shorts on top. You can also use packing cubes to keep your rolled clothes organized.
Use a Compression Bag
If you’re packing bulky items like jackets or sweaters, consider using a compression bag. These bags use a vacuum to compress your clothes, making them take up less space in your suitcase. You can also use a compression bag to separate dirty clothes from clean clothes during your trip.
Pack Versatile Clothing
When choosing what to pack, aim for items that can be worn in multiple ways. For example, a scarf can be worn as a headband, a belt, or a shawl. A pair of leggings can be dressed up with a nice top or worn casually with a t-shirt. Look for pieces that can be mixed and matched to create different outfits.
Use Your Shoes for Storage
Shoes take up a lot of space in your suitcase, but they can also be used for storage. Stuff socks, underwear, or small items inside your shoes to save space. You can also use a shower cap to cover the soles of your shoes to prevent them from dirtying your clothes.
Pack a Small First-aid Kit
No one wants to get sick or injured during their vacation, but it’s always better to be prepared. Pack a small first-aid kit with essentials like pain relievers, bandages, and antiseptic wipes. You can also add any prescription medications you might need.
Pack a Reusable Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is important during your trip, so bring a reusable water bottle. Not only will it save you money on buying bottled water, but it’s also better for the environment. Look for a collapsible water bottle that can be easily packed in your luggage.
Leave Some Room in Your Suitcase
Finally, leave some room in your suitcase for souvenirs or any items you might purchase during your trip. You don’t want to be forced to leave something behind because you don’t have enough space in your luggage. If you’re flying, make sure to check the weight and size restrictions for your airline’s baggage policy.
Enjoy your trip!
